SUPPORTING YOUR MENTAL HEALTH AND EMOTIONAL WELLBEING
I am a solution focused human needs therapist, with over a decade of experience in education, where I have specialised in supporting teenagers. As well as my private practice work, I continue to work part-time in a large secondary school, where I gain firsthand insight into the challenges young people face in their daily lives and the key factors contributing to their stress levels. I pride myself on being approachable, empathetic, and am deeply passionate about my work. Together, I support clients to develop self-awareness and personalised strategies tailored to help them achieve their goals, as well as providing psychoeducation to enhance their understanding of what it is to be human.
I support my clients to build resilience and to bounce back from difficulties through learning new skills, developing and understanding their resources and working towards getting their emotional needs met in balance.

MY APPROACH
My focus is to help individuals identify their unmet needs, seek ways to redress any imbalances, build on their resources and teach important life-coping skills.
Working from the human givens approach, a brief, solution-focused approach, I help people feel better and move on in their lives as quickly as possible. Practical and flexible, it combines the latest insights from neuroscience and psychological research with proven therapeutic techniques from a wide range of approaches to provide highly effective interventions tailored to individual clients.

More about me...
I graduated from Bath University with a business degree but found my passion in Coaching and Therapy when I started working in education in 2014. I have a post graduate Diploma in Careers Advice and Guidance, as well as a Diploma in Psychotherapy through the Human Givens Institute. I am passionate about helping people to develop real, long lasting and sometimes creative solutions to whatever issue or problem they are facing. I have developed my knowledge and experience through thousands of hours of 1:1 work, as well as group work, both in education but also through volunteering as a bereavement counsellor and crisis volunteer with the text help line SHOUT.
